Suzhou Paradise has been part of the city's entertainment scene since 1997, but today's Forest World is a completely different park from the original Suzhou Paradise at Shishan.
The original park closed after the 2017 season, with Suzhou Paradise relocating west to Dayangshan. Forest World opened on 20 May 2020, covering around 760 mu (roughly 50 hectares) beside Dayangshan National Forest Park.
The park is divided into six themed areas inspired by different forest environments, combining major thrill rides with family attractions, children's rides, live entertainment, AR/VR experiences, restaurants and shops.
Expect large rides and thrill attractions alongside gentler family rides, children's attractions and shows. Some rides have minimum-height requirements, so families with smaller children should check individual restrictions before visiting.
TMore than 20 performances are staged around the park each day according to Suzhou's official tourism information. The park also runs seasonal programmes. During summer 2026, for example, Forest World introduced evening performances, a night parade and live music events, with later closing times on selected dates.

Forest World currently has four operating roller coasters, ranging from family rides to two much more serious thrill coasters.
Beyond the Cloud
Beyond the Cloud 冲上云霄 is the headline attraction. Opened in 2022, this Mack Rides LSM launch coaster reaches approximately 62.5 metres, with a track around 1,040 metres long and a top speed of around 130 km/h. Instead of slowly climbing a conventional lift hill, electromagnetic motors launch the train towards an almost vertical top-hat element. The layout includes five inversions, including an Immelmann, cobra roll and loop. Suzhou's official tourism site describes it as China's tallest electromagnetic-launch roller coaster.
Broken Rail Roller Coaster
Broken Rail Roller Coaster绝处重生 is unusual for a completely different reason. It's a tilt coaster: the train enters a section of track that physically tilts towards a near-vertical position before releasing it into the drop. Suzhou's tourism authority describes it as the first broken-track/tilt-style coaster in Jiangsu.
