Lion Grove Garden (狮子林) is one of the best-known classical gardens in Suzhou, famous for its extraordinary maze-like Taihu rock formations. Located close to Suzhou Museum and the Humble Administrator's Garden, it's one of the easiest major Suzhou attractions to include while exploring the historic city centre.
Its compact size makes it easy to combine with Suzhou Museum and the Humble Administrator's Garden, both within the same historic part of Gusu.
Suzhou Scene Tip: Don't just photograph the rockeries — go inside them. The maze-like paths through the rocks are what make Lion Grove distinctive.
The garden uses real-name, timed-entry ticketing.
