Richard Clayderman: Forever Love

One of the world’s most successful pianists, Richard Clayderman, comes to Suzhou for a special New Year concert at Suzhou Shishan Grand Theatre.

The French pianist has spent nearly five decades bringing his distinctive blend of classical piano and popular romantic music to audiences around the world. He has released more than 70 albums and collected hundreds of gold and platinum records over the course of his career.

His signature piece, Ballade pour Adeline, is one of those instantly familiar melodies that has spent decades drifting through hotels, restaurants and probably more than a few elevators around the world.
Clayderman has an especially strong connection with China. He has been touring the country for almost 30 years, with more than 600 performances across over 70 cities and audiences totalling more than one million. His arrangements of both Western and Chinese music have also made him a familiar figure to generations of Chinese piano students.

For those who already know Clayderman, this is a chance to see one of the world’s most recognisable popular pianists live in Suzhou. And if the name doesn’t immediately ring a bell, there’s a good chance some of the music will.

The Forever Love concert will feature Clayderman’s trademark romantic style, with arrangements spanning classical, popular and Chinese music.
