Pinchas Zukerman

One of the world's great violinists comes to Suzhou

Legendary violinist Pinchas Zukerman joins the Suzhou Symphony Orchestra for a special concert this October, conducted by Xu Zhong.

For more than five decades, Zukerman has been one of the major names in international classical music, performing as both violinist and violist with leading orchestras around the world. His appearance in Suzhou is one of the international highlights of the Suzhou Symphony Orchestra's tenth-anniversary 2026–27 season.

The centrepiece of the evening is Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 3 in G Major, with Zukerman as soloist. The programme spans three very different periods of orchestral music, opening with French composer Albert Roussel's Symphony No. 4 and concluding with Béla Bartók's Concerto for Orchestra.
