Amazing Burger Festival

Burger lovers have plenty to get their teeth into this National Day holiday, as the Amazing Burger Festival (了不起的汉堡节) takes over Jiuguang North Plaza for eight days of creative burgers, snacks, drinks and music.

The festival brings together a wide range of burger creations, with the organisers promising more than 50 different flavours. Alongside classic beef burgers, expect some much less conventional combinations, including French foie gras and beef, 13-spice crayfish and beef, octopus and beef, and a black-bun burger topped with roasted pepper and preserved egg.

Several burger brands are featured, including Liangsonghe’s Burger, Burger Go, MeeBao Burger, Burger Queen, Jinbaobao and Monsters, each bringing its own style to the festival.

It isn't only about burgers. Food stalls will also be serving everything from fries and Thai-style chicken rolls to grilled meats, shaved ice, desserts and cold drinks.

A non-stop music party adds to the atmosphere throughout the festival, making this as much a holiday hangout as a food market.

With eight days to visit and very little language barrier, this is an easy addition to the National Day calendar for both international residents and visitors to Suzhou.
