Suzhou SAFFAS

Suzhou SAFFAS is a WeChat community for South Africans living in Suzhou and the surrounding areas.

Suzhou has a large and seemingly ever-growing South African community, and the group is a place for Saffas across the city to connect, make plans and share useful information.

That might mean coordinating when and where everyone is meeting to watch the Springboks win yet again, working out whose garden can accommodate the next proper braai, comparing notes on Suzhou's best biltong and boerewors, keeping tabs on which bars currently have brandy or Savanna in stock, or arranging to get together and raise a few Springbokkies.

The group is also useful for everyday questions, recommendations and helping newcomers find their feet in Suzhou — and, most importantly, connect with the surprisingly large number of fellow South Africans already here.
